i was out at the lake johnson dam for an hour and a half or so... saw 3 or 4 that left vapor trail tracers front and center in the sky, and a handful of smaller ones and others lower in the lighter part of the sky

I saw some things that looked like standard shooting stars.

I'm planning the next one. I need shit to get excited about and celebrate.

i saw only two or three truly "good" ones...the rest were about standard (and there were probably only 10 or so of those over the course of 2 hours)

we were near the NCSU farms off lake wheeler...the light pollution wasn't that bad, so i'm attributing the poor viewing to the shower itself since the last one i watched (2006? 2007?) was at lake lynn and i saw many more meteors even in spite of the light pollution that comes with being inside the city limits

[Edited on November 17, 2009 at 8:06 AM. Reason : actually, ok, it didn't suck, but it wasn't great either]

I tried to partake in the previous "omfg meteor shower omfgomfg" event earlier this semester.

2/10, will not partake again.
