Anyone who claims Sushi Thai or Sushi Blues to be good sushi does not have good taste.

sushi thai isn't great but it isn't bad either, for a dollar you can't beat it

[Edited on November 20, 2009 at 11:04 PM. Reason : tuna, salmon, white fish only. Anything more obsure... stay away]

YoHo Asian Bistro over near the Harris Teeter at Walnut/Tryon in Cary has some damn good sushi and unless you're getting something crazy, it's a pretty reasonable price. Monday is their night for sushi specials: Buy any two rolls get 3rd Free (up to $5). They also have a good lunch sushi special.

Their sushi menu

BOGO at Shiki and Tasu Sushi...

Shiki is in Durham, Tas is in Briar Creek.

Worth the drive. Delicious Rolls. However it's not cheap. Even with BOGO, a meal for 2 with 4 rolls comes out to be ~$35.

Tasu is my girlfriend's and my favorite Sushi spot.

I like sushi, as long as it is with [raw] salmon, tuna, or mackerel, but I love sashimi.

Either way, I can never understand how people can make a dinner meal out of it. I did that once, and even after eating so much that I couldn't eat anymore, I still didn't fell satisfied. Reasons? It is cold, doesn't have much fiber at all, the type of rice used is digested very quickly, most of the stuff is raw, etc.

Sushi-Thai in Cary has fantastic sushi - I recommend the Pudding Roll (chef special - not on the menu).

Sushi-Thai Raleigh is sub-par in comparison. Tasu is also a good place with good specials, up in Brier Creek. All rolls are BOGO.

blah blah blah i only eat expensive sushi because someone once told me that if it costs more it's always better blah blah blah

also, the japanese place in the mall (i always want to call it kyotos, since that's what it was before they changed the name) has BOGO on...wednesdays? and their rolls are pretty good, too (though they're about twice as expensive as sushi-thai AFTER the BOGO)
