i don't really know what a regular cucumber is as i'm sure there are more than 2 kinds of cucumbers. but at your typical grocery store you see the fat shorter ones with thick skin and then the english ones

i prefer english, i don't know why though. they just seem better to me. does anyone else discriminate against the short fat thick cucumbers?

the kind like this:



they have thin skin and i think they are seedless. but they usually are long and thin and come in plastic in the store. (v. the regular ones that you just pick up and stick in one of those veggie bags)

the seeds in a normal cucumber are huge compared to the english cucumber. i hate those big seeds and typically i take the seeds out of the cucumber if i'm preparing a dish for myself (such as pasta sald).
