Was running late in the morning, so I drove like a madman today.

When I started the car, the display said the range was 450 miles. When I drove the 31 miles to work, the display read 360 miles .

In the evening, I drove back at a very relaxed pace. After reaching home, the display had gone UP from 360 miles to 410 miles, even though I had driven another 31 miles .

I covered the 31 miles to work in 27 minutes, door-to-door, so that's an average speed of nearly 70 mph!

I drove on cruise at 100 mph for a 7.5 mile stretch uninterrupted... felt great! And at 87 mph for at least 10 minutes. Reached a max of 113 mph for several seconds . On the way back, I didn't exceed 70 mph.

The posted speed limit on the highway I take to work is 110 km/h (68 mph). Most people go at 120 km/h or faster (75 mph and up). The police will ignore up to 140 km/h (87 mph), but beyond that you will get stopped. I guess I was just lucky!

There are other highways with a 75 mph limit, and I believe there are some with an 87 mph limit, but I am not sure about that one.
