Have you ever walked out on a movie? If so, which ones?

I normally don't, because previews and word of mouth gives me a pretty good idea whether I'll enjoy something or not.

But I did walk out on something I was watching with my dad once, it was so terrible we left that movie and snuck into Starship Troopers. I can't remember it but based on the box office results for when Starship Troopers was in theaters I think it was Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.

The only movie I've ever walked out of was Alexander.

And I went to see Gigli on premiere night.

Now that you mention it, I don't think I ever have.

But when I worked at a movie theater we used to have people walk out all the damn time and demand refunds because they didn't like the movie. We always just offered them passes to see another movie, but I always wanted to talk shit to them. "We don't make the fucking movies, we just show them."

Yeah I didn't see this in theaters but I did stop watching it when I netflixed it. Or maybe I got the extended edition and just didn't bother to put the 2nd disc in when the first one ended.

The acting and the camera work in that movie were atrocious. Val Kilmer was the only one with a decent performance and he was dead in like 15 minutes. I'm even a big fan of ancient warfare and couldn't watch it.

but I never go to movies that I don't really really want to see, and even if they end up being bad, they've never been so bad that i'd leave.

half a dozen or so

When I saw Zohan, about 2/3 way thru the movie, this guy walked down the aisle toward the screen and yelled "Fuck you adam sandler !" then left

the rest of the crowd clapped and like 8 people followed him

I only leave comedies, because they have to be funny throughout to be good

Other movies can suck most of the way, but a good ending can totally redeem them, so I give them the benefit of the doubt

Some dude ran out of Paranormal Activity. I thought it was because he was pissed but after walking out of the cinema I overheard his friends saying that he was waiting in the car cause he was so scared. wtf it really wasn't that scary.

I think the only movie i've walked out on was Pushing Tin with Billy Bob Thornton.

i must have had low tolerance to stupidity that day, because i found the movie insufferable.

I don't think I've walked out of a movie...came close once or twice. I usually just start talking shit about it.

My family rented Vertical Limit (I think, or something very similar) and we turned it off because it was horrendous.

Gothika. I was like, "WTF, Halle Berry and Robert Downey, Jr. starred in a movie about kid sex?!? Come on! Kid sex!?!?"

One of the James Bond movies. I mighta been under the influence. I just remember getting this suffocating feeling of dread that the theme music and credits at the start of the film would never end. They must have gone on for like fifteen minutes, just that same song over and over again while silhouettes of naked ladies swirled around the screen...it was terrifying.

Came very close to busting out of Transformers 2.

It was painful. I had a headache for almost two days at the close of that classic.

Never have...but I REALLY wanted to walk out on Alexander

Quote :

1st, Angelina Jolie was atrocious...2nd, Collin Farrel was atrocious...3rd, Angelina Jolie's accent was worse than nails on a chalkboard...4th, I expected much better from Oliver Stone

the ONLY redeeming moment was Rosario Dawson's tits

oh, and I fell asleep during Matrix Reloaded

im not trolling, if you understand what oliver stone was trying to do you will appreciate alexander for what it is
on the other hand a beautiful mind was a waste of 2 hours
you find me one person who has purchased that on dvd, everyone just says its great cause russle crowe was good in it, otherwise teh story was garbage

by the way i liked alexander not for the acting or the accents, but for its story telling and the way it took you into the many worlds that alexander conquered. it was the best history movie ever

then I guess I don't understand what he was trying to do, but perhaps it was hard to figure that out when you're distracted by the crap that Jolie and Farrel were doing on screen

I never have. I don't really see the point. The money is lost and it's not as though I'd be doing something remarkably more productive with my time. Plus, I've got popcorn and the theater has free refills.
