Who's still preaching on campus?

What other ones do you remember other than Gary?

Remember that one crazy woman who would just scream at people about how Jesus was coming back and not really say anything else?

Is Jonathan still standing outside in the rain reading from the Bible?

Who did Gary work for?

When will someone out Grace/Triangle Church as a cult?

And what was with the guy who looked like Art Garfunkle who hung around the wierd Asian dyke-ish women?

Those no longer on campus want to know.

I thought most campus preacher types liked the virtues of selfishness? the guy from grace church did.

i rarely go on main campus anymore, but from what I hear, Gary is still up to his old tricks. Somebody told me he got banned from Chapel Hill. The guy who walks around in the grass reading the bible (Jonathan I'm guessing) is still there too, as far as I can tell.

It's crazy how long they've been doing this. Jonathan has been preaching out in the grass since '98, according to a friend of mine who started his first semester that year. I have a friend who went to the university back in '89, and apparently he knew who Gary was. Weird.

i haven't seen gary birdsong around the brickyard this year.

there's a black guy who calls himself Brother Ross. he's pretty funny to listen to. he wears suspenders and has a no porn button pinned to them. he brings along some white trash looking dude who has a 8 ft cross he holds up the whole time and all these fanny packs and stuff on his belt.

these guys are the ultimate trolls. i laugh more at the students who get pissed off than i do at the preachers.

In 1995 when i was a freshman i used to walk with Gary Birdsong to his car which was actually on the way to my frat house every evening.


what he told me was that the only way you could get a college student to think about religion was to infuriate them. so thats what he does.

as for who he works for. i got the assumption noone.


and yes its weird he told me this, but you gotta remember i walked with him probably 30-50 times throughout a year. so i guess we built a trust?
