I was doing some beta testing for a korean company (bought the product myself). They selected a few of their very active beta testers to receive free NAS devices to do alpha testing. What am I going to do with all this hard disk space???

Note Y: is configured to back up to Z:, that's why the usage shows the same. I can't give more details due to a non-disclosure agreement.

^^^^ Do you realize how much porn that could store? 1.5 hours of uncomressed quad HD (3840x2160) pr0n at 60fps (2160p60)

or

Approximately 7,500 hours (310 days) of 720p pr0n.

this is easy. Download a trial of Lightwave or Blender3d. Set output to TIFF Uncompressed, set it to render a million frames or so and let it chug while you sleep. A simple cube or something will suffice, and that drive will fill quite quickly

I think I should get about 20 IP cameras and put them up all over the neighborhood and just record 24/7.

I'm surprised no one even mentioned the fact that my computer has 5 optical drives.

I'm more surprised that you have a floppy drive.

I just assumed most of those optical drives were virtual.

^as did I, why do you have 5 real optical drives? Had them lying around so just stuck them in there?

^^^ I don't have a floppy drive. The motherboard has a legacy floppy drive connection. Windows can't tell whether there is a drive attached to it or not. I could disable it in the BIOS but never bothered.

^^ C & D are actually on separate drives. I've been transferring those partitions as images for a long time. That's the way my desktop from 2002 was set up and I just copied the partition every time I upgraded or got a new PC. I'd been running the same Win XP install up until about a month or 2 ago when I installed Win7.

^ I actually have another external HD DVD drive I use as well. Most of them are old POS drives. I stuck them in there to RIP my DVD collection. Drives H and I are DVD drives too... I don't know why it says "CD Drive". Also, when I install a game it's nice just to leave the disc in the drive an not have to worry about the game annoying me for not having it in the same drive it was installed from.
