i have the other one. i love howlin wolf. no doubt they made it better, but you gotta admit, straight up stealing another well known artist's song and putting a different name on it is pretty shitty. although, i guess you could kind of say the same about just about any of those bands that were heavily influenced by the blues. and i don't think they gave blind willie johnson credit for "in my time of dying," even though zeppelin's version was far different. it's kind of shitty that it's my favorite zeppelin song even though they didn't technically write it.

as i started listening to more and more blues it's amazing how much they take from each other, if you think the modern version of that pop/hip hop/rap whatever you call it steal phrases and build just look at blues...

what i find amazing is how many people ripped off robert johnson. the dude only recorded like 27 songs, and there are only a handful of pictures of him, yet there are probably not too many other people who had more of an effect on the outcome of rock n roll than he did considering zeppelin and the stones were heavily influenced by him.
