...to set the thermostat to 58. But it facilitates cuddling, baking, and moving more. So it's a good decision.
12/6/2009 10:16:02 PM

12/6/2009 10:16:43 PM

12/6/2009 10:19:08 PM
currently 68 here but I'd prefer 63-65.58...why don't you just open the windows & fridge?
12/6/2009 10:19:39 PM
12/6/2009 10:19:56 PM

12/6/2009 10:20:24 PM
12/6/2009 10:20:31 PM
engrish??mine's either off or at like 67 this time of year.
12/6/2009 10:20:58 PM
I think 65 would be reasonable
12/6/2009 10:21:24 PM
mine is set at 70... i must be rich.
12/6/2009 10:21:28 PM
i have mine at like 68 or so.... if i go much colder i don't get out of bed in the morning
12/6/2009 10:21:43 PM
78 is fucking insanely hot.58 is kind of low but not that bad. i think ours is set at like 62 or something
12/6/2009 10:21:49 PM
why dont yall just sleep outside, its basically the same temp
12/6/2009 10:21:54 PM
Off...yeah. This morning is only the second time this season the heat has actually kicked on. Up til now, we've sat in the 62-68 range.
12/6/2009 10:22:08 PM

12/6/2009 10:23:26 PM
I'm glad that my house has a subsurface foundation and is well insulated. I can keep it at whatever temperature I want without having to pay that much.
12/6/2009 10:24:43 PM
12/6/2009 10:24:54 PM
yeah i think 70 is the norm in our house in the winter
12/6/2009 10:25:20 PM
you people dont understand how the heater worksif you set it at 80, you only pay a little more for getting the place up to 80after that its no different than if it was set at 65
12/6/2009 10:25:38 PM
Um, no.[Edited on December 6, 2009 at 10:27 PM. Reason : YOU PEOPLE]

....if you set the house temp to 80, that means you have to live in a house that's fucking 80 degrees.i sweat sometimes when it's at 70. i wouldn't be able to breathe in a house that was 80 degrees.
12/6/2009 10:30:07 PM
^
12/6/2009 10:31:27 PM
^^
12/6/2009 10:33:07 PM
the temp is a matter of preferencemy point is if two houses are at 60 and 70, the outside temp is 30it would take equal amount of energy to keep both houses at the same temp
12/6/2009 10:34:29 PM
We're all cold natured, it's 72 in here.My mom and grandmother are always hot, they keep it on 62 or so until I visit and cry about freezing.
12/6/2009 10:38:04 PM
i prefer to keep it 70 year round, so sometimes i get cold in the summertime. but it's better than being hot. i can't sleep when it's hot.
12/6/2009 10:38:44 PM
12/6/2009 10:39:17 PM
My heater is off. I'm on the first floor. It's still 62* in here. [Edited on December 6, 2009 at 10:41 PM. Reason : .]
12/6/2009 10:41:40 PM
^ tooooooo cold
12/6/2009 10:48:06 PM
I keep mine at home around 77, very cold natured. Anywhere below 70 is way too cold for me. Feet start freezin'
12/6/2009 10:48:32 PM
wow, redbox redbox redbox, i hope none of you every misread anything in your lives
12/6/2009 10:49:44 PM
we just pickin
12/6/2009 10:52:21 PM
12/6/2009 10:53:37 PM
ambrosia why dont you just set yours at 80 so your fat ass could sweat some pounds offif you're gonna talk shit back it up with some science
12/6/2009 10:55:28 PM
Common sense needs no science
12/6/2009 10:56:07 PM
I was kidding. 73, though. Roommates have thin blood or something.
12/6/2009 10:56:30 PM
mine's at 63. not too sure what to expect for the heating bill: first dayton winter + old house = who knows? probably hundreds of dollars.
12/6/2009 10:57:30 PM
That sounds decidedly unfun
12/6/2009 10:57:58 PM
ok lets talk common senseif house A is 60 degrees and it falls to 59 degrees, how much energy does it take to bring it up one degree to 60now if house B is 80 degrees, and it fall to 79, how much energy does it take to bring it up one degreeif you answered more energy for house B then you need to set your thermostat to 0 cause dont deserve heat
