because a tow truck was ramming into the gate leading into my apartment complex. He was wailing on his horn, screaming and dropping f-bombs all over the place, and pretty much trying to tear down the gate, then he got out and tried to open it by hand (pretty sure he was drunk). Another guy tried to get the tag number, but the driver saw him, got back in and drove off.

Less than 10 minutes later, 6 cop cars were parked at the front gate and 2 at the back. I walked up and said I was surprised how many of them came, and they told me they were bored.

A call came in on their walkies about a fight at Farmhouse, so all but 1 drove off and he's still chilling out front in case the guy comes back.

Overall, an exciting evening.

My gate (VG) works most of the time. Still pretty easy to get around them though. And I don't think they would hold up to a truck crashing into them.

i remember one time 2 tow truck guys were in the process of getting ready to tow my old roommate's friend's car. somehow someone saw it happening out the window, so the kid runs out to stop them, and one of the truck guys saw him coming and signals to his buddy to hurry up and get the car all hooked up or whatever so the kid would have to pay 50 bucks for them to give it back.

One night when I was living in Gorman Street Village my neighbors and I were drinking and doing that drunk shit that people do, when we stepped out to smoke we saw the tow truck driver getting ready to tow one of the guys cars, so we started talking to him and the driver was like, if you want to get your friend out here to move the car I won't hook it up so he won't have to pay.

So we went running to get our friend, but he was too drunk to care, and we were all too drunk to really care for him either, so he got his car towed. The driver was actually trying to not make the guy pay...stupid alcohol.

pretty sure it was the fraternity, but i could be wrong.

we don't have assigned parking or permits or anything so there was no reason for a tow to be here. my thought is he found out his girl is banging someone who lives in here and he came in a drunken rage. if he actually lived here or had been here before, he would know there is a walk-through gate that is never locked.

it is an intense experience to have that happen right outside your door. Saikaubi was really freaked out. the property manager spent all this money setting security in the clubhouse after someone jacked a TV, but never thought to put cameras at the gate. This isn't the first time it has been driven into, you would think they would like to know who did it.

i find it funny that the cops would straight out admit they were bored.

Theres a big area right in front of my townhouse that if you park there you get towed... there isnt any no parking signs non of my 6 neighbors care if you park there, just some asshat tow truck company is always looking to make a quick buck.

Me and a few of my neighbors have started to fight back...

Took a friends old ass truck with no motor trailered over here and un-bolted the front axle but left it sitting in there... came out screaming freaking out when the tow truck driver "ripped out" my gawd damn axle! ha

If by chance he does get someone we will send people around the backside to let the air out of his tires.

We've also blocked him in, using a Military deuce and half (6x6 troop carrier). That truck as also been used by parking it front of the other cars so that he would have to tow it to get to them... aint gonna happen without a big rig wrecker

Its usually one of two guys... they really really do not like us, they've stopped coming. But I kinda wish they'd come back, I wanna try out some new ideas to fuck with them
