Why do you have all 3? or which one did you go with?
12/23/2009 10:45:49 AM
Why do you have TWC and DirecTVThats like having charcoal and gas
12/23/2009 10:46:46 AM
internet with TWC, tv with directtvAll of the deals they gave me are WITHOUT a contract... I'm still seriously considering a switch to DSL, but I wanted to just see what I could save before actually switching.Unfortunately, I don't have access to Uverse/Fios or any of those fancy things.
12/23/2009 10:48:29 AM
I FIND IT ILLOGICAL THAT YOU USE ALL OF THE AFOREMENTIONED SERVICES CONCURRENTLY.
12/23/2009 10:48:31 AM
haha i called TWC two days ago and did the same. they hiked my bill up and i was
12/23/2009 10:49:31 AM

12/23/2009 10:50:13 AM
how do I got about doing thisMy shit recently got jacked up as wellI'm usually caustic on the phone, but I'd imagine I'd have to take a softer tone here
12/23/2009 10:50:26 AM

^I, too, would like to know how to approach this. My cable/internet bill will go up in a little less than a year due to the promotion ending and I won't be having that shit. I don't have TWC (I have Comcast... it blows) but they are pretty much the exact same thing.
12/23/2009 10:52:08 AM
yes, I was very polite and even referred to the TWC representative by her name several times, "Thanks Jean... Ok, Jean, what about this... bla bla bla"you gotta be firm but polite.the DirectTV guy was the hardest to negotiate with, but I finally convinced him to knock $20 off my bill and then I told him that I would like to take advantage of that offer and I would also knock my package down from Choice Xtra to Choice (which reduced it even further)... He was all like, "son of a..." but then went ahead and put it in.Now I am paying 34.95 for roadrunner standard (7mb) and $65 for DirectTV HD-DVR Choice...

i usually hate calling about this stuff.. which they bank on people not calling and just paying i suppose. but they raised my bill by like 40 bucks with no warning.
12/23/2009 10:54:31 AM
^ I hate calling too, which is why I'm only doing it now that I'm using a few vacation days to sit bored around the house.
12/23/2009 10:57:07 AM
See I had a friend who did that same thing and when he said he wanted to cancel they were like "Fine, we'll come get your cable box and modem on Thursday. See ya."
12/23/2009 10:59:21 AM
HAHAHAwell, I suppose it helps if you've been paying your bill on time and you also probably get a bigger $$ discount if you're subscribed to the premium stuff - if you're only subscribing to their low tier package, they probably don't give a crap about ya.[Edited on December 23, 2009 at 11:01 AM. Good for you - always nice getting some of your money back

Did the same thing a few months ago. Got our internet bill cut in half and our DirecTV dropped by $30/month.Also just did something similar with my Sirius. They tried to bill me $96 for 6 months of service. I canceled. They called back a month later and offered me 6 months for $25.Now if I can just get my cell phone bill down a bit without losing any of my minutes I'll be set
12/23/2009 11:08:13 AM
This worked for TWC ]
