HAHAHAHA 10/10So the algorithm struggles with horribly backlit dark-skinned people. Whooptee-freaking-do.Get some better lighting and call me back.

it seems like it would be easy as long as there's contrast. In that picture she blends in with the background more than he does, but his facial features are harder to see.
12/24/2009 12:15:31 AM
She has a very white face surrounded by dark hair. You can track with with a $10 webcam. Oh wait...

And that black guy is a fucking idiot. There, I said it.

I can't remember the name of it, but there was some type of PS3 thing coming out (I want to say it starts with an n) and it can detect your movements, but it has a lot of trouble with really dark skinned people.
12/24/2009 8:54:59 PM
I wish I couldn't see them either
12/24/2009 9:39:54 PM
^^Natal for the xbox360I don't see how this is an issue, though. It's not as if black people are going to steal this sort of thing anyways.
12/24/2009 11:50:13 PM
you'd think Nikon would know about the whole squinty-eye thing.
12/26/2009 2:37:28 AM
the face recognition software in iphoto has a hard time recognizing black people are even in the picture and furthermore, cannot distinguish them when you finally do identify them (it recognizes other people i only have tagged once or twice but i can have a black person tagged 20 times in other photos and it still doesnt know who they are)and this program will pick up the oddest shit in the background or on your clothing as a 'face' but 90% of the time it never found the black people, no matter the lighting
12/26/2009 8:35:40 AM
wtf!
12/26/2009 12:25:11 PM
I wonder how well it would find an injun like myself.
