I'm talking about about a decent lunch that voild be somewhere healthy and decently quick at the same time.

I just relized that jersey mikes raised their prices and my lunch was over $10

I would understand if I lived in a big popular city. But I don't think the cost of living is really that bad in the greater Raleigh area

Yes I know they are expensive to begin with

Just something I was thinking of.

Mitch’s has a great london broil for $7. If you get a water, that’s <$10 for a good meal.

it's healthy and quick

and they toast

and actually, i get a helluva lot more veggies at Subway than at JM. they have way more options in that department.

i mean, if you're looking for a pound of meat on your sandwich, then stick with JM.

I'm happy if it's around $8 or less (not including drink/taxes) and made of quality ingredients.

if i could get the fresh sliced deli meat/cheese from Jersey Mikes and add all the veggies from Subway, i'd be in heaven

subway makes terrible sandwiches. the bread is always dry, hard, and flaky. you barely get any meat. the cheese always tastes bad. plus it's never fresh cut meat. the sandwich is 90% bread and the bread always tastes bad

^you must go to a shitty subway. bread is always soft and fluffy where i go.

i'll agree there's not much meat on the sandwiches, but they have all sorts of veggies - so that's the appeal of Subway for me. i like getting lots of veggies.

^BS

$10 for a 'decent' lunch

$20 for a nice lunch

dinner = usually $20 can be 'decent' but you have to be careful. typically more.

nigga plz, i make mad $$$ and wouldn't even dream of spending that much on any meal except on special occasions. even then I wouldn't like it

oh, and subway sucks for putting anything on their sandwiches. nc, sc, tn, doesn't matter where I go. last one I went to in Memphis tried to charge me 40 cents because I told them I didn't put enough olives on my sandwich and this I ordered "extra". I walked the fuck out of there too

Seriously though?

If you're spending $10 per day on lunch alone you're a fucking moron or rich or both.

yeah $10 a day per lunch is a bit much. you can cook a decent amount of chicken/roast/whatever meat and have good food everyday for a lot less than that

not that i actually do that, though. lol.. i've been just eating a $5 footlong and water or just a burger from mcd's with no drink or fries.. or i'll save my large tea cup and just wash it out/refill it at mcd's. they don't seem to notice and or care

you don't have to buy fatty foods at fast food places. they have cheap salads and grilled chicken also. or you could get off your ass and work out once in awhile. not you in particular but you in general.

You can get a medium frozen pizza from harris teeter for like $6 at eat two slices a day for four days

Combine that with a 12 pack of soda for $6

That's a meal for $2 / day

290 calories per serving, and your vegetables.

And that's just a quick option.

If you're real smart, just get a chicken breast ($6-9) and frozen vegetables ($4) and eat that for the week. That's extremely healthy, good (if you know how to cook), and cheap.

Also soups are tremendously cheap.

Campbell's Select Harvest soups are 2 for $4. Combine that with some nice toasted bread and that's lunch for the week for about $12.

lol @ Sweet Tomatoes.
$10 for a good salad and some "slightly better than cafeteria food" pizza/soups.

I think it was pretty obvious that this thread was about going out to eat. Nobody said you have to do it every day, but if I go out to eat I'm probably spending more than $2.00 on my meal.

That's crazy.

The most expensive place around my office would MAYBE be close to $10 if I got the most expensive meal with all the trimmings.
