I'm talking about about a decent lunch that voild be somewhere healthy and decently quick at the same time. I just relized that jersey mikes raised their prices and my lunch was over $10 I would understand if I lived in a big popular city. But I don't think the cost of living is really that bad in the greater Raleigh area Yes I know they are expensive to begin with Just something I was thinking of.

Subway has $5 foot long subs. Go there instead.
12/28/2009 2:56:09 PM
Mitch’s has a great london broil for $7. If you get a water, that’s <$10 for a good meal.
12/28/2009 2:56:44 PM
good idea, half the price for a fifth of the meat/cheese/fixins
12/28/2009 2:57:11 PM
it's healthy and quickand they toast and actually, i get a helluva lot more veggies at Subway than at JM. they have way more options in that department.i mean, if you're looking for a pound of meat on your sandwich, then stick with JM.[Edited on December 28, 2009 at 2:58 PM. Reason : .]
12/28/2009 2:57:31 PM
I'm happy if it's around $8 or less (not including drink/taxes) and made of quality ingredients.
12/28/2009 2:59:03 PM
if i could get the fresh sliced deli meat/cheese from Jersey Mikes and add all the veggies from Subway, i'd be in heaven
12/28/2009 3:00:32 PM
subway makes terrible sandwiches. the bread is always dry, hard, and flaky. you barely get any meat. the cheese always tastes bad. plus it's never fresh cut meat. the sandwich is 90% bread and the bread always tastes bad
12/28/2009 3:03:05 PM
^you must go to a shitty subway. bread is always soft and fluffy where i go.i'll agree there's not much meat on the sandwiches, but they have all sorts of veggies - so that's the appeal of Subway for me. i like getting lots of veggies.
12/28/2009 3:04:51 PM
No more than $4.Make your own meals.
12/28/2009 3:05:28 PM
^BS$10 for a 'decent' lunch$20 for a nice lunchdinner = usually $20 can be 'decent' but you have to be careful. typically more.
12/28/2009 3:09:00 PM
6" HT sub, $2.99....Better than JM and subway.
12/28/2009 3:11:42 PM
bout three-fiddy.
12/28/2009 3:12:03 PM
Are you kidding me?I eat for no more than $20 per week.
12/28/2009 3:13:04 PM
^ Yeah, but you're God. You can feed thousands with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread.

8-10 bucks for lunch is pretty reasonable.[Edited on December 28, 2009 at 3:19 PM. Reason : 9]

12/28/2009 3:23:55 PM
Seriously though? If you're spending $10 per day on lunch alone you're a fucking moron or rich or both.
12/28/2009 3:25:18 PM
12/28/2009 3:27:48 PM
$10 is a lot but it's not unreasonable
12/28/2009 3:28:04 PM
yeah $10 a day per lunch is a bit much. you can cook a decent amount of chicken/roast/whatever meat and have good food everyday for a lot less than thatnot that i actually do that, though. lol.. i've been just eating a $5 footlong and water or just a burger from mcd's with no drink or fries.. or i'll save my large tea cup and just wash it out/refill it at mcd's. they don't seem to notice and or care
12/28/2009 3:28:39 PM
hey if you want to blow 3 bucks going towards fast food adn getting fat like all the freaks in here are offering then yeh. moron it is.
12/28/2009 3:29:40 PM
you don't have to buy fatty foods at fast food places. they have cheap salads and grilled chicken also. or you could get off your ass and work out once in awhile. not you in particular but you in general.
12/28/2009 3:30:57 PM
You can get a medium frozen pizza from harris teeter for like $6 at eat two slices a day for four daysCombine that with a 12 pack of soda for $6That's a meal for $2 / day
12/28/2009 3:32:11 PM
no yeh totally agree twoozee.im just sayin, a 'decent' 'meal' is gonna set you back 10 typically. but yeh, 'deals' can of course be found
12/28/2009 3:34:05 PM
You can get a main course, two vegetables and a water at the K&W in Cameron Village for about $6.

http://brands.kraftfoods.com/DiGiorno/main.aspx?s=product&m=product/Product_display&Site=1&Product=7192100335290 calories per serving, and your vegetables. And that's just a quick option. If you're real smart, just get a chicken breast ($6-9) and frozen vegetables ($4) and eat that for the week. That's extremely healthy, good (if you know how to cook), and cheap.
12/28/2009 3:38:20 PM
I'm going to spend 20 bucks tonight on lunch shit. Ill report back on what I get Waking up early isn't a problem because I'm up an adam no less than 30 mins befor I have to go to work.
12/28/2009 3:40:24 PM
Also soups are tremendously cheap.Campbell's Select Harvest soups are 2 for $4. Combine that with some nice toasted bread and that's lunch for the week for about $12.
