aha
after all 'OMG YOUR WISHLIST' brouhaha this year, I've decided to maintain an amazon wishlist to avoid that again.

I'm working on it now.
I bought myself this with a gift card, after I'd given a copy as a gift and got an even better look into it.

Items from my wishlist:
waterfalls of NC...not really a map, but it comes from a publisher?
a cheese making book

There are a good many books on my list that I put there as a reminder for reading, but now that I know about visual bookshelf for facebook, I'll be deleting them.

I generally don't buy books or ask for them as gifts. The library is so much better. More economical, and then you don't have to worry about either storing the books you've read, or selling them. Reference-type and coffee table books are the exception.

^I have the waterfalls book. It's pretty awesome for pointing out all the different places you can go to access waterfalls in NC. We use it just about every time we plan a hiking trip.
