i was there.
1/6/2010 9:43:39 AM
Bonnaroo sucks now, so congrats.
1/6/2010 9:46:33 AM
it still bewilders me that Ben Harper is married to Laura Dern. so strange.
1/6/2010 9:48:09 AM
he does a pretty good job a recreating Plant's voice, even better so than Plant himself these days.
1/6/2010 9:52:21 AM
out of the 2500 concerts I've been to, Ben Harper (at The Ritz, 1999 or 2000?), is definitely in my top-5nothin' but Ben + guitar + La-Z-Boy
1/6/2010 10:14:56 AM
2500 concerts and you're 23, that seems like utter BS.
1/6/2010 10:16:03 AM
don't underestimate his skills son. he time travels to see herb coach, so i'm sure he's time traveled to at least 10 hendrix concerts... today
1/6/2010 10:17:41 AM

I can name about 20 better festivals where the cops aren't on your ass, I admit Bonnaroo used to be the shit, but now it's way to commercialized.
1/6/2010 10:32:50 AM
The cops don't give a shit at Bonnaroo in my experience, unless you're being ridiculously obnoxious and problematic and absurdly indiscreet and on ecstasy or something in the middle of shakedown street in broad daylight.I went in '09 and did not see Phish, so you won't convince me that shit like ALL GOOD is better. The amount of drugs I can get away with having/doing is not my criteria.I admittedly probably would prefer something like Coachella, but this is driving distance.[Edited on January 6, 2010 at 10:40 AM. i can't wait to see the 2010 lineup!2009 was so great
1/6/2010 10:44:55 AM
I would choose to see exactly six of those if I happened to be at a festival with them, if I had nothing better to do.I would go out of my way to see exactly two of them.I have seen two, one of which is on the list of six.Bringing the vagueness ITT.[Edited on January 6, 2010 at 10:53 AM. that's the best part about festival seasonshit, I don't know over half of the bands I saw at Wanee '09, but i loved it nonetheless. i went for the headliners and mid-majors...but came away with a handful of new bands to follow^ (shhhh....that's last year's lineup...no telling if they'll all be back for '10)[Edited on January 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM.
