I've seen some ice on the various ponds/lakes in RTP.Though I'd been told that b/c of global warming this was impossible.Hence, I must have been seeing things.

I thought I saw ice both in Falls Lake, and in Kerr Lake today, also thought I was full of shit, guess there might have been something to it.

beaver lake near my house in asheville is almost 100% frozen over (just a patch in the middle wasn't as of yesterday, it probably froze overnight though). but then, it hasn't been above 28 degrees up here since the morning 1/1/10.

1/6/2010 5:17:52 PM
I dunnomaybe because it's a fucking lake, instead of a puddle or aboveground pool?
1/6/2010 5:19:02 PM
i mean i would challenge you to find a lake that doesn't have ice on it. water freezes when it gets cold
