1/6/2010 3:46:42 PM

1/6/2010 3:47:08 PM
I'm sure our boy can handle ordering a goddamn sandwich without being coddled
1/6/2010 3:49:07 PM
he is the master of disguise after all

yeah I thought I saw him at a panthers game, but it turned out to be some Mexican[Edited on January 6, 2010 at 3:51 PM. Reason : x]
1/6/2010 3:50:58 PM
haha, i've never had an authentic cheesesteak from Philly, but i watched a show on the travel channel about Pats and Genos a few weeks ago. The steaks from the show all appeared to be drowned in cheese, are they a little more reserved than that?
1/6/2010 3:53:26 PM
1/6/2010 3:53:28 PM
if you go "wid" surebut some only like provolone, and in that case, expect 3 slices under the meat
1/6/2010 3:54:50 PM
yeah, these were all 'wid whiz' or however they connotate it
1/6/2010 3:56:18 PM

Reason : sometimes. it's on everyone's list to do, next to run up the art meusem stairs and jump like rocky]
1/6/2010 3:59:11 PM
The correct answer is Jim's Steaks.Don't fall into the Pat's/Geno's trap.
1/6/2010 4:04:11 PM
i'll fall into any trap as long as there's a steaming hot cheesesteak at the end of it
1/6/2010 4:06:50 PM
what hotel are you stayingI know philly like the back of my sack
1/6/2010 4:07:50 PM
jims is just more convenient, if you're going to the south street locationand yetthey'll have a longer line than and not as good of steaks as the other ones
1/6/2010 4:08:28 PM

They are literally right across the street from each other. Pat's is the oldest. Pat's chops up their meat while Geno's does not. For some reason the locals up here in Philly really like theirs with cheez-whiz, while I prefer provolone. Wit or wit-out refers to if you want onions or not. This reminds me that I should venture down 9th street sometime in the future to get a cheesesteak from there. It's just so cold up here, and that's a pretty long trek for me. Plus there's a really good cheesesteak place called Carmen's in Reading Terminal that is much closer to me.
1/6/2010 5:22:33 PM
you can pretty much go to any place in south Philly that serves pizza and get a good cheese steak.
1/6/2010 5:24:41 PM
bttt for this
1/7/2010 9:20:17 AM
give us your exact dates, and maybe we can find some cool shows for youPhilly is loaded to the gills with awesome small places to see live music
1/7/2010 9:28:03 AM
Neither. They are both tourist traps. If you have any sense of adventure just walk around and find a random pizza place. Chances are you will get a good cheesesteak. Better yet, pick out a local and ask - if they say "wooder" instead of water - you've found a local. Forget the Cheez Wiz too. I don't know what people are thinking there. Provolone all the way.

I live down the street from Pilgrimshoes. If you must go to either Pats or Genos, go to Pat's.But the best steaks are at Jim's on south street.
1/7/2010 9:47:57 AM
well that's disturbing
1/7/2010 9:49:08 AM
We've hung out and you don't even know it.But I did.
