yes, if you use your car for work, it will have a section for you to enter the miles you drove (not reimbursed) to get like .40 a mile back.. or like .04 a mile, something like that

[Edited on January 17, 2010 at 9:31 PM. Reason : but yeah, just get somebody to do it]

when I was only working part time, I went to the IRS place and got it done for free (I think you have to make below $30,000 for them to do it?)

now I do my own

usually do turbotax

this year i've balanced the withholdings to the point that i expect a refund of approx $100.

paying to use the service doesn't justify itself this time.

for some reason, even though it's silly and illogical, it bothers me to pay like, $50 or whatever when that's such a big percentage of the refund.

last year was free to file through turbotax, no fees to pay. they did it cause of the economy and to keep people from bitching at them as much as possible.

i've used the the full program for years and last year was the 1st year i filed electronically through turbotax and did not have to pay any fees. previous to those years i did my taxes using the program but printed out the forms to mail in cause the price of 2 stamps compared to the fees was completely worth it.
