^^^ guess that depends what you mean by that. The "health care reform movement" in its current shape (as best as we can tell from the amount of information we have available)? Yes. Health care reform in general? Not something I am opposed to.

i have and still do massive doubts that any of the politicians can do anything practical/useful with regards to health care.

thats why its better if YOU have the control over your health care options. Just like anything else.

If you're talkin' about the version Obama is pushing I think it's absolute trash, along with all of the doctors and surgeons at Scotland Memorial Hospital. Half of them claim they'll take early retirement if it passes. It all comes down to paying the bills. Currently medicare and medicaid only pay around 80-85% of the hospitals costs. That means for $100,000 worth of work on, for instance, a cancer patient under medicare the hospital loses $15K. That's $15K they have to locate in already thin margins. When talking about the entire nation having access to that same 'quality' health care I tend to disagree. Private insurance is already covering the 15-20% deficit caused my medicare and medicaid (wonder why your premiums are so high?)

Or maybe we're conveniently ignoring the 'successful' ways of countries like the UK. They're the lovely people who deny you common surgery such as knee replacement at age 59. Can't live without your knee? You could do private insurance, but as soon as you sign up for that you get bumped from your government issued insurance - but you're privileged enough to keep paying for it.

Oh yea, that's what I want
