http://www.11points.com/TV/11_Most_Scandalous_Saved_by_the_Bell_Revelations_in_Screech's_AutobiographyThis weekend, I read Dustin "Screech" Diamond's entire autobiography, "Behind the Bell". And I might be the only person who's ever done that. Literally, the only person. I'm fairly sure no editor actually read it cover-to-cover; on page four we get the sentence "Fuck fame. Allow me to tear down your allusions"... and that sets off a book just riddled with spelling errors, punctuation errors, repeated references to craft services as Kraft services and weird line breaks. On two separate occasions, entire paragraphs are actually repeated. But you're not reading this for me to call out Dustin Diamond's copy editor. Nor was I reading his book to look for such errors. (I just notice them because I'm a precocious-in-a-bad-way son of an English teacher.) No... we all want to know the unbelievable "Saved by the Bell" sex scandals that he witnessed first hand. (Or, as he disclaims in the prologue, some of them are "things [he] heard from reliable sources.) And I've got 'em for you. Here are the 11 most ridiculous, salacious and lurid "Saved by the Bell" sex (and drug) scandals revealed by Dustin Diamond in "Behind the Bell" -- in no particular order.

He just wants to make money off of his pseudo-fame. He wants money, but isn't willing to do anything halfway respectable to earn it. He was on the Stern show trying to save his house last year, pimping t-shirts. Artie offered him a couple stand-up gigs and Screetch no-showed.

I have noticed a trend recently...and now I'm not saying that you ^ are wrong about what you are saying of him, I have seen and heard enough about him to know that you are probably right in saying that he's a douche when you had dinner with him...However, I've noticed that a lot of times people like to say negative things about celebrities they meet unless it's a celebrity that they are really fond of. Like people might have a brush in with someone pretty famous and exchange a few words but nothing more than that, the famous person leaves and forgets about the incident 5 mins later but the normal joe leaves and likes to report that this famous person was short with him and was a douche didn't even say excuse me when he bumped into me...if you're walking on the street and someone other normal joe bumps into you and doesn't say excuse me you forget about it 5 mins later, but because that person is famous you remember it, and then the image in your head gets blown up and you now report to everyone about how much of a douche he was and he's so fake when he's out doing PR stuff...this is just one of those times where I make an obvious observation and like to tell others of my obvious observation[Edited on January 28, 2010 at 2:46 PM. I don't like meeting famous people that I like, because more often than not, they're not as cool in real life, and your overall opinion of them sours

^^hahahaWhen I went to Hanson concerts and they did their mile long walk before the show there were girls all over just touching them randomly...then some girls would be like "OMG I went a pat Zac on the back and he ignored me! He's so rude!!!" All I could think was "well no shit he ignored you, he had 50 other girls trying to touch him and he was probably creeped out by the fact that you thought it was okay for you to just go up and touch him"[Edited on January 28, 2010 at 2:49 PM. sawahash, i generally agree with your assessmenti think i'm pretty fair in judging the politeness of celebrities, though...while i'm no mytwocents, i met a fair number of celebrities working for the jimmy v foundation and even more when i chaired the duke children's classicfor example, i do NOT like jeff foxworthy as a comedian...not even a little...but that man and his family are by far some of the nicest, most down-to-earth people i have ever meti couldn't care one iota about pro basketball, but when i was working with charles barkley (jeebus, 10 years ago?), he had me laughing till i cried with some of the most off-color and ribald jokes i've ever heard...dude was hilariousdustin diamond was a whiny, unfunny douchenozzle*shrug*

I already wanted to read this book, this just makes me want to even moreI do think a bunch of it is made up/exaggerated though. Like I remember the whole Mario Lopez rape accusation from the 90's. I'm sure he just remembered stuff like that and let his imagination run with it.
