given the same weather (for recreational purposes, I guess).... if you had a choice, would you want today to be:

a) Fully functional, since all the streets were cleared, people were at work at grocery stores, mcd's, etcs

or

b) Streets half-assedly cleared and society kind of drunk and semi-retarded, businesses/churches/etc closing simply because it's snowing

a) would you like your taxes hiked by 30% to pay for a fleet of snow plows and repaving of roads properly to resist snow and ice buildup

or

b) save your goddamn money because it only snows enough to block traffic about 2 days every three years.

srsly though, I'll take 1 day of drunk semi-retardedness over costs of having a proper street plowing operation. It just isn't needed on that level here.

i would prefer everything be like normal, but i also don't want them wasting tons of money on salt and plowing

so pretty much i just wish it would never snow

I guess I think society just kind of likes doing nothing on the account of something "uncontrollable"

my friend said that this snow would have been way more awesome if it was on, say, monday. I tend to agree.. at least then we can benefit from society shutting down

There's no avoiding what happened today. No amount of preparation can un-ice the roads. Salt stops working below 25 degrees or so.

But ya, I would prefer fully clear roads & open stores. I had a huge craving for donuts earlier.
