This starts cutting into spring break now, and I am NOT AMUSED.

Are there still roads iced over anywhere? I know the parking lot at my school was a sheet of ice when I went in this morning, but I can't imagine using a parking lot as a measure for whether to open. That can be easily cleared.

Multiply that by several hundred parking lots and I could see why that would be part of the equation for keeping schools closed.

the BIG snow storm was 2000. seems like in 98 there was a snowstorm which closed the school for a week, we went back for a week, then an ice storm that closed school for over a week

blame the DOT. they could have been out plowing the leftover slush, especially since it's rained today.
