Yep, about the level of depth I'd expect from a Sorority. Also, I disagree with the camel toe. That should be your flag. Fly it high and be proud of it. I think the guys out there would agree when I say that we don't wan't no shizz what so ever occluding the 'toe as it were.

sororities are superficial?thats a shocker
2/6/2010 1:25:50 AM
^and you were shocked that I never rushed?

I'm so glad that Dave Mustaine got fired from Metallica in the 80's. A redistribution of guitar skillz. Megadeth is relevant to anything.

les claypool tried out for metallica and got cut because he was too good

During rush, nearly every sorority sends out some kind of list about what to wear. It can be as simple as a function-shirt-on-this-day-and-go-greek-shirt-on-that-day or something specific like that news story. Even NCSU greek life would tell us to wear the go greek shirt every monday or something. And especially during rush events, it looks better to have some kind of uniformity (i.e. everyone wears a summery dress for house tours and a black formal dress for pref night).

The actual list is pretty lulzy:http://fashionista.com/2010/01/pi_phi_votes_tory_burch_not_do.php?img=6#imgs

I skimmed through that and didn't really see anything wrong with itthey're all pretty good suggestions]
2/6/2010 5:17:05 AM
I don't see a problem here
2/6/2010 5:20:32 AM
i just read through that whole thing and it doesnt seem that bad.[Edited on February 6, 2010 at 7:50 AM. Reason : i could never do all of that though...im not big on fashion "rules", though these seem pretty legit]
2/6/2010 7:44:00 AM
I think that's what makes it funny. Most of it is kind of common sense stuff but the fact they felt the need to type out a 6 page fashion manifesto is
2/6/2010 7:53:32 AM
Meh, personally I think it is ridiculous, but everyone has a right to define the rules their organization wants to enforce. Half the people pointing fingers and laughing at sororities are the same people pointing and laughing at the People of Walmart site.If they're not your type, don't hang out with them and move on with your life.

At least their telling their fatties to cover up
2/6/2010 11:06:24 AM
I would have a problem with a lot of it because it is in written in a way that comes across as the main girl's opinion and not sorority rules. I had friends like this at one point in my life and it was so miserable because I never felt like I measured up to standards of being a girl. My clothes (thrift store and vintage finds), hair (I have never spent $texas doing my hair/usually do my own) , makeup (I never wore at the time), fingernails/toenails (I never wore polish or got mani/pedis) were not in style or up to par. I guess I could never have been in a sorority if this is part of the plan for girls that join. I am also very leery of organized anything in the first place because I feel individuality is often lost. This reason is also why I often have a hard time going to church.

^^ hey, thats not cool. fatties have feelings too. just ask someone you know

I could never follow their shoe rules "no opened toes" Well if I couldn't wear my rainbows then no thank you...Also I put my hair up in a messy bun/ pony tail too much for them...Reading the list....it's not a horrible thing to ask those girls to do those things...but then again those girls are making the choice to be in that sorority...if they felt like that dress code was more than they wanted they were free to leave or not rush...

I think they're disallowing open toe shoes and short sleeves because it's Ithaca, NY so it's probably like -35 degrees out
