Disclaimer: This isn't my company, and I'm not personally affected by the decision.Scenario: A company has several departments in one building, with some of those departments having typical office hours that end at 1pm and others at 3pm. Due to inclement weather, it is decided the building should close for the day at 10am. Those with normal office hours until 1pm are instructed to close up shop at leave at 10am. Those with normal office hours until 3pm are instructed not to close or leave until 12pm.Discuss. I can't reason or explain around the separate closing times when safety is the given reason for sending folks home.

If I was the 1pm group, I would stay until the 3pm group got to leave as a show of unity for my brothers in arms

The lady that told me about it said they actually did stay till 3But still, if someone had left at the later time and been hurt due to the reason the building closed in the first place... well, you can bet a blood sucking lawyer waiting to get paid would be looking them up.

My job is also notorious for, say we close at 9pm, ***Due to inclement weather we will be closing at 8:52pm*** or something along those lines.
