i took the bridge off and i don't think I've bridged since the last time I reset the router. I'm thinking it might be a wired connection vs. a wireless connection? That's probably it because the .156 is currently active (my computer's N connection) and the .186 isn't. I just didn't know it gave me a new IP when I go wired...

idk if that's it because I have two different MAC addresses too

not only is it because you have two different MAC's but it's because the wireless router is assigning you one IP and the wired switch is assigning you a different one.
