I definitely drank beer and bought beer in Boone pre 2008. I remember we had to go to some bar just on the county border to drink liquor. It was there I had my first mind eraser.

It wasn't watauga that was dry it was just the city of boone that didn't serve liquor by the drink. People could still go up to blowing rock and get it if they wanted to pay out the ass.

They overturned that a couple years back though, I was there for grad school when it happened.

Yup.
There's been alcohol in Watauga for as long as I can remember. (which goes back to the late 80s, I guess) Boone restaurants were beer and wine only, but the ABC store was still a regular ABC store.


Anyway, there are a few attractive people in Boone. I have no idea about the state of strippers up there, though. I remember when one of my high school teachers turned 50 or something and one of the other teachers hired a stripper to come to the teacher's lounge and dance for them. It got a little awkward when they recognized her as a student who had graduated a couple of years earlier.

first of all there are no strip joints in boone, you have to go to hickory (strike one)
i know this because i went there and dated one (strike two)
she was a phi mu (i'm out!)

We got Tori Paige (B pornstar) to drive in from Charlotte to Raleigh for a pretty fun bachelor party about a year ago....I'm sure she'd make the trek to the mountains for the right $$$ - She was pretty awesome.

^^ if you want to get strippers from the local head shop then go ahead cause yes thats an option but its probably smarter to just find someone in Raleigh or Charlotte like ^ and pay them for the drive. course you usually have to pay for a handler or something extra too.
