Where do you bank? Most branches are open until 12:00 on Saturdays.

BoA open 9-1 on Sat. Then again, Bank of America is everything that is wrong with the USA

Wachovia, but I'm trying to switch because they suck ass. Trying to go somewhere smaller.Basically, I'm looking for somewhere local to open up a new account today.

are you eligible for SECU?[Edited on February 20, 2010 at 12:06 PM. Reason : and i love that he asks this question at 12:02]

If you're not averse to credit unions, I would go with SECU (if you work for the state) or Coastal Federal Credit Union (I believe it is now public).

I do not work for the state, nor does anyone in my family (that I can think of). I was looking at CFCU actually. They seem pretty good but I don't think they're open today.

I didn't think any of the credit unions were open on weekends.
2/20/2010 12:11:27 PM
Yeah, it doesn't look like there are any banks open today at all.

^^ That is a typical, but unfortunate consequence of banking at a small, local institution. It sounds like you're sick of large, bailout-funded firms, though. It's probably worth it.]

Well no banks I want to open an account with.
2/20/2010 12:20:51 PM
Just wait a bit, your Wachovia branch will magically change overnight to a Wells Fargo branch....
2/20/2010 12:21:41 PM
Well I really don't ever want to walk into a Wachovia again if I don't have to and Wells Fargo is in the same boat. Pretty much any huge bank I want to stay away from.

Bank of North Carolina, I think that is the name, they have commercials on all the time....
2/20/2010 12:42:55 PM
yes
