I'm actually in the middle of reading it again Like nearly most books turned into movies, the book is far better.

great movie,

greater book/books (depending if you get them seperatley or as a single bound collection, i've seen both)

anyone who remotely likes the movie should read it.

^stephen king indeed. it was a 6 part series (just one story but in 6 volumes)...the movie is all of them together, which is why it is forever long

but this is one of those movies where it is ok to be forever long because there's really nothing else you can remove from it

stephen king doesn't know how to write anything short. i read the stand about 6 months ago because i knew the creators of lost cited it as a huge reference, and i could only find the uncut version, which included an extra 400 pages that were omitted from the original, bringing the book up to almost 1200 pages.
