Older Nextel phones used to automatically add "Re:" to the message body if you replied via the "reply" option in the messaging menu.

the same thing happened to me last week. some guy named "Jake" from Montana with also a Raleigh number (i'm assuming Google Voice) texted: "hey" and that's how it started. i asked them to stop texting me as i don't know any Jake's and they never responded again.
