unsolved murder is located 1.5 miles from the house i grew up in. I rode/drove by it every day, used to go fishing nearby, even wrecked my first car there. After all this time my parents have never mentioned it. I'm sort of freaking out here.

according to wiki 16,095 at the 2000 census. I'd venture to guess it was closer to 14k when i lived there.

its been a while since i've listened to country music, and i know bluegrass can be referred to as killin' music, but i ain't ever heard song about a young mother being bludgeoned to death with a tire iron

i can't stand being in towns smaller than raleigh. I mean i guess there's slightly smaller towns i could be in and be fine, but... I went to hickory for a weekend a few weeks ago and couldn't stand being in what felt like the middle of nowhere.

^depends on the town. my home town is fucking ghetto. but i wouldn't mind moving to a nice mayberry like small town, if such a place still (or ever did) exist

Hey, I'm from there too. I think I remember hearing about that story for the first time in 07 because it was 30 years later. Can't remember exactly where it was but I think it was like on the side of the road somewhere.
