here!
3/19/2010 10:23:21 PM
i turned ours on earlier today when we were cleaning (was getting hot in here)... I think I'm about to turn it off for the night
3/19/2010 10:27:44 PM
was there no breeze in Raleigh today? usually on a day like this, opening a few windows does the trick
3/19/2010 10:29:22 PM
my ac wont be coming on for quite some time
3/19/2010 10:43:26 PM
we've had the a/c on through the winter.
3/19/2010 10:45:48 PM
I like to freeze my balls off in the spring and summer, regardless of costmy roommates, as a rule, do notso begins the unspoken 5-month war of thermostat-adjustment and readjustmenta cold war, if you willit was even better when I was living with a black dude at Wolf Village...sometimes the AC got turned on/off three times in one night
3/19/2010 10:48:24 PM
i'm a fan of opening windows and sometimes using ceiling fans, especially on a day where it only hits mid-70s.....80s and 90s I understandbut, every little bit counts when you're trying to conserve money.
3/19/2010 10:49:49 PM
too expensive. Have to manage drafts for temperature regulation right now.
3/19/2010 10:50:06 PM
I'll conserve money elsewhere...in another month or so when its really hot outside, my place is gonna be an icebox
3/19/2010 10:50:43 PM
I've used the a/c a few times when having a lot of people over while it was warm, but otherwise, not so much. Most of the temperature control can be taken care of with a screen door.
3/19/2010 10:51:06 PM
we decided to rent a house with neither a screen door on the front door nor on the sliding patio door. makes getting a full-house draft a little difficult. BUT, we DO have 8 windows around our living room/dining room.[Edited on March 19, 2010 at 10:56 PM. Reason : ,]

Probably won't use AC until June here
3/19/2010 11:58:43 PM
3/20/2010 12:06:02 AM
i'd just rather wake up to my alarm clock than from being all sweaty
3/20/2010 12:07:00 AM
truth- but it is still getting down to the 40's/50's here at night, so an open window should suffice at night
3/20/2010 12:08:22 AM
What was the high temp in Raleigh today?
3/20/2010 12:08:46 AM
i'm the minority in my household, so I guess i'll just have to grin and bear it.and i guess i'll have stop going to the bars 3 nights a week and ordering pizza so often in order to conserve money
3/20/2010 12:09:21 AM
march is fucked up because if you want some 71-72 degree shit you have to either have a nice HVAC system and fancy thermostat...or constantly switch between AC and heatbut in the summer, my place is like 68
3/20/2010 12:11:23 AM
well in most cases if yall are gone during the day, you could just turn it off then (when it will be the hottest)unfortunately you guys always seem to have at least one person there^yeah, I don't know if I get it that cold, but it is constantly on during the summerI have lived in the "hot room" the last 5 years, so a warm room doesn't kill me[Edited on March 20, 2010 at 12:12 AM. 3/20/2010 12:11:33 AM
well maybe 70 but i dont care if it runs all the time, if its 90 degrees outside, its definitely going to feel great when you step into my place
3/20/2010 12:13:17 AM
That's one of the best things about living on the island...we constantly have that nice breeze blowing so having the windows open until late spring and no AC is doable.
3/20/2010 12:14:49 AM
As it gets warmer, I spend less and less time at home. Let someone else pay for the air conditioning.
3/20/2010 2:31:56 AM
my thermostat only read 73 today, so i just opened a few windows. It was actually comfortable before opening the windows.
3/20/2010 3:54:48 AM
What in the sam hill is wrong with some of you people? The high yesterday was 74.
3/20/2010 7:30:11 AM
i've been opening windows! hoping to not use the ac for another month or so
3/20/2010 9:10:47 AM
70s outside + sun shining makes it feel like 100 in my house
3/20/2010 9:35:38 AM
then what the hell do yall do when it actually is 100 outside?
3/20/2010 9:37:43 AM
i was kidding
3/20/2010 9:39:49 AM
yeah, well, with people's taste and poor planning, and idiocy, I can see someone making that claim and/or having that situation
3/20/2010 9:46:13 AM
we're not allowed to open the windows during pollen season
3/20/2010 9:49:13 AM
3/20/2010 10:24:30 AM
Ah, I open my windows even though it is face-rape season.Pollen sucks but I just take more drugs and try to get used to the fact that I won't be able to breathe for a few months.I also try to keep my thermostat off when it's this nice outside. It's a bit cooler here in Virginia than it is in Raleigh, though.
3/20/2010 10:26:31 AM
so you open your windows even during pollen season???
3/20/2010 2:03:22 PM
i opened my windows
3/20/2010 2:04:55 PM
is it 90 degrees in Raleigh today?
3/20/2010 2:11:55 PM
def haven't switch to AC yet...we just turned the heat off ~2 weeks ago w/ the fan circulating airoccasionally i'll open a window or the back sliding door and put the screen door in placeand yes, i even open the windows during pollen seasonprolly turn on the AC ~may
3/20/2010 2:42:50 PM
Haha Fatties.
