yeah, that's really why I posted and think it's kind of interesting

I've met a few famous people (I think, or at least was somewhat around them) but that was never randomly. It was always in a setting where they were supposed to be there or working or whatever.

this was random and I got to do the whole awkward "hey, you know, you look like someone" thing

it was cool. he was cool. it's certainly going to get cataloged away.

When you google my band name (which is a fairly common phrase), we are the first 4 links on google and 7/9 on the first page and 3/5 on the pictures, am I a celebrity?

i disagree- if someone said his name, you would know who he is, even though you have never met him. Just because he isn't your cup of tea doesn't make him not a recognizable figure. And fwiw, he is very respected in the comedy circles (as in I've heard plenty of comedians talk about him on the radio and in interviews and they all love what he does and say he has his own unique way of doing it)

and even if you don't know his name, then you would more than likely at least recognize him from something he has done in the past if you saw a picture

the show wasn't that bland. especially the first season(s)+, which was actually really good, as bland [any network] sitcoms go.

if you're a fan of stand-up comedy you know who he is. i'm not really a fan of his stand-up, though. it's too heavy on monologue and light on jokes for my taste.
