love wing fling. how was it at the battleship this year? have you been to the ones at ogden park or hugh mcrae before? i used to go to the ones at hugh mcrae in 2001-2004.

it was my first time going. the battleship location was perfect. it wasnt byob and everyone made a stink about it, but i dropped 20 on the day and still had a beer ticket or two left over. lines werent long and ive never met so many fine ass women who were more than willing to talk. the music was perfect for the situation because it stayed in the background, but still sounded good if you wanted to listen. i only ate at 2 wing places because after the first few beers i gave up on wing rankings. id heavily advise anybody to go if they ever get the chance.

yeah see back in the day we used to BYOB it and pay to eat the wings. there would be beer pong set up with couches to chill on. it was pretty epic stuff.....at least i thought it was at 19

i think they wanted to get away from that because it attracted such a young crowd. im 24 now and everyone i talked to was around my age. there were even a few oldheads walkin around. probably sucks hard if youre underage but whatever

well when i was 19, it didn't stop me from bringing in my own beer and drinking.

and i can see how they would want to move away from it being a "younger" crowd but it was always a mish-mash of ages so it sounds like the only thing they did was crack down on underage drinking.

Joie wing fling is this outdoor festival with live music and beer where all the restaurants in town that make wings host a "wing-off" where you go and try all the wings and then vote for the best ones.

I was there this weekend too. Had a freakin blast! I never had to wait for a beer and $2 for a 16oz beer was awesome! It was a lot like TBMF but with way hotter chicks and a much more laid back crowd. The weather couldn't have been more perfect either.

We used to rock that shit every year too, but I always thought Full Tilt was the better of the two. They didn't bother with the pretense of food and rankings and all that. It was just hey we got Hugh McRae for the day and a couple of bands, come get plastered... Oh and dump a beer on someone.

Of course it helped that all my friends were Sigma Nu's or KA's.
