I had #4 today.

Overdid it at the gym, passed out, they called the ambulance.

I've only actually ridden in it once...refused transit the other 3 times.

Ambulance twice (refused once), first responders tried to call out a helicopter once and I refused it too.

no times for me...

not even when I should have had one called for me because I got injured in a car accident when I was underage and unable to refuse medical attention

How did you refuse it twice if it was only called once?

^^^how have you refused transit more times than the ambulance has come for you?

^ haha, with 3 of mine, I was unconscious...the other time, a passing motorist saw me wreck a motorcycle and go tumbling down the highway at about 80 mph. I was fine, but they had already been called and actually showed up before I could even catch my breath, walk down to where the bike came to rest, and get it up out of the median and cranked up again.

haha we were out at the intramural fields playing kickball and a girl fractured her ankle, had to call an ambulance (at her request).

funny thing is while the EMT were out there, a guy also on the field got hit in the face with a softball and broke his nose

ambulance for a broken ankle? what the hell?

I've broken an ankle...it fucking hurts, but it's no reason to call an ambulance.

^^^^ no, but I did get placed in the back of it and get an EKG and a bag of saline.

oohhhhhhh

I had the ambulance called 1x

and there were 2x when I was seriously injured (not like intramural injuries haha, I'm talking severe car accident and face plant on a glass table) but refused to let someone call an ambulance to the scene

oh shit, i don't even know how many of those i've had...at least a handful more.

[Edited on March 28, 2010 at 11:17 PM. Reason : usually just for stitches/staples, although there was that broken ankle.]

nah, never been called for me. I guess my injuries have been slight enough that I could wait to catch a ride from someone... or walk it off.

Well, mine were usually not bad, either, but I wasn't always conscious and coherent enough to explain that.

If we are discussing the number of times that I've not let somebody call the ambulance, its much, much higher.

I had a friend do that. Got shit canned, left the bar, was found by chapel hill cops and was taken for a ride. We couldn't find him. Got a call a few hours later from him.

^^^^haha, i passed out on the side of the road on Franklin Street one Halloween. One of my buddies found me and put me in a janitor's closet at some bar until he was ready to go back to Raleigh, hahaha.

No ambulance ride that time!

I even made it to class the next day, haha.

i did some similar things while in college and no ambulance rides

although an EMT DID have to take my bac (with actual blood) at a dorm when i was at the college of charleston. but it was like a campus emt and no ambulance was involved. i guess that ALMOST counts. haha.

oh the whole point was that i also went to class the next day. i think i had a french test. for some reason i did much better in french when i was still drunk from the night before. who knew!

Once. As a young child I consumed the entire contents of a container of TUMS. But seriously, those things are colorful and looked like candy. Not to mention, I was smarter than your average bear and got through the childproof lid.

^^^^^

haha, I remember getting up the next day to go to class, grabbing my motorcycle keys, and then thinking...no way, I'm still drunk. I then picked up my Jeep keys, thought about it for a second, and decided that I still might blow over .08. I had someone drive me to class, haha.

By the end of class, I was so hungover feeling that I had to lay on the couch in Broughton Hall's engineering student lounge for a while until I thought I could ride the Wolfline home without yacking.

Now if it was anti-freeze... That shit is delicious.

^yea we told her to just walk it off; but stupid females will be stupid females

the ambulance came out there...and then they (the girls) decided that a ride in the ambulance would be too expensive...so they just drove; what a waste of a 911 call
