I can't find anything about it online:

I'm tagged in a lot of photos by friends that I like, but the albums are private so none of my other friends can see them on my profile. I don't think I can change settings to make these photos viewable to everyone, but can I easily transfer them to an album of my own so all my friends can see them (without downloading and saving them and re-uploading and re-tagging them)?

also you have to block yelp, pandora, and docs.com applications if you dont want your public data displayed by your friends who use the applications

the instant personalization thing is not related to the profile changes you see kat. you can't opt out of the profile changes. the instant personalization option is about this
