^^^^^Listen son...You are a loner so by "we" you were really only referring to yourself and I think it's only fair and the right thing to do to make sure that everybody knows. OK

^^^^Thank you...good to know when there are events like these, the TWW Tragic Events Committee is still running smooth

Shit in Mexico has got to be pretty fucked up though....perhaps it caused a natural border of sorts and taken care of a little of that problem....

I, for one, would like to see our tax dollars go to fund just such a mall.

This earthquake was nothin....I was here when the big one hit in 94. Shit got REAL fucked up. That was NOT fun. However, today was one of the more fun ones because I was on the phone with my neighbor and was saw a plant of mine and the blinds moving and was like, 'are we having an earthquake?' and she said no...at which point I went over to the sliding door to see if a breeze was causing the plant and blinds to move...at which point she said, 'wait, there is an earthquake!' and then I proceeded to rock with it and actually did, the Rick Flair 'WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO'.

ok now they're saying its a 7.2. That's pretty big people. Really big. Yeah, San Diego felt it worse than us. My parents and ex didn't feel it in Phoenix but they both saw the pool water moving

first Haiti, then Chile, now California is going to break off, and Guam is going to capsize!

I call Guam capsizing first, just from the sheer weight of the population there.

Fuck Mexicali...that's where all the damn beaners go to deliver their little bean cakes who wind up getting crossing the boarder everyday to go to school and get benefits.

So I guess we will give mexico a few more billion to help them out with the earthquake....maybe some of those drug tunnels have collapsed.

Mexico gave us a few billion so I guess that would make us even.

don't you live in like LA? stuff got shook up pretty good down here in San Diego.

I ran downstairs to brace the TV, did not want that thing falling over!

Oh, and I lived in OC during northridge, that one broke some stuff in our house.

yeah....I live in L.A. and I was here for the Northridge quake. We had to move out of our house for about 3 weeks so that the city could come by and green tag it....did all kinds of damage to the house....parents lost a huge 300 gal saltwater fish tank, EVERYTHING that was on a shelf or a wall fell off..... In this one, not one thing fell. It was weird because I saw it before I felt it so I was prepared almost. It must have really dissipated by the time it got to us...I mean it was big, but more of a rolling than a jolt. So for us, compared to the Northridge quake this was nothing. I didn't even go under a doorway. This may be in part due to my casualness about quakes but to be honest, I was shocked to hear how big it was and even more shocked that it was felt in AZ.....

I can imagine SD was way worse considering how much closer it is to mexicali

i did the same thing! i really need to find a way to secure mine so i can stop stressing about it -- aside from my apartment building actually falling down (hopefully unlikely), it's the only thing that concerns me in my place

i'm surprised we felt it as much as we did up in LA, though it wasn't very strong up here just sort of long

i always know there's a major earthquake somewhere when the news trucks are outside my building at work...

^^^where abouts in L.A. do you live? Just curious

As for the tv, you should look at babyproofing places because my sister has this thing that attaches with velcros and cords or something that she has on her tv but it would be great for earthquakes. Though if it were big enough of a quake, the roof would fall on the tv and destroy it anyway

^already started...party at my place tonight at 6:00 pst
