I never listen to them and I don't own a single of their albums, but I still have enough sense to know that the above quoted text is a really ignorant statement.

I think the real problem is that idiots listen to them. These idiots have no idea what it is that makes them good, no idea what psychedelic music is and what it's all about, and simply listen to them to be cool because a bunch of other fucking frat boys listen to it as well.

This is the fucking curse of the true artist, non-artistic failures just don't fucking get what you're trying to do and have no appreciation for you. That or they appreciate you for exactly the wrong reasons and essentially make you out to be the one thing you tried so desperately not to be.
