Keep an eye out for her at the animal shelter. They post pictures of the strays on the website, but they only hold them for three days. If the cat is adoptable, it'll often be put up for adoption at the end of three days.

^^thank you! didn't know that

^^^ that's another thing i'm worried about...she's not fixed

^^^^where do you even live these days?

[Edited on April 10, 2010 at 8:49 AM. Reason : ^that's not the best pic of her, she's really tiny/small boned]

I don't know the circumstances of her escape, but female cats in heat will do almost anything to get outside so they can get a dick in them as soon as possible. Too bad human females don't go into heat and violently jump on my dick more often.

Basically I'm saying that when you get her back you should get her fixed for sure and that the non-fixedness could be the reason she got out.

imo, you should make the picture bigger and the detail info smaller. that said, i hope it comes back because cats are awesome.

she's not in heat atm, though i'm sure that wouldn't keep her from getting knocked up 4 seconds after she got out

[Edited on April 10, 2010 at 8:54 AM. Reason : ^ eh i think it works...thank you though she is pretty awesome even for a cat]

Getting knocked up out of heat? Your cat's a slut son.

In all seriousness, you need the gibbon back and thus, hopefully you will re-obtain the gibbon. If one of my gibs got away I'm be destroyed son. Destroyed. They my only friends son.

+1 to getting her fixed ASAP when you get her back. Not worth the risk of kittens.

That sucks man. Hopefully she'll come back. Lauren's cat got out one night and was asleep by the door the next afternoon.

4^ She's a dainty little virgin, I doubt she'd even have a choice with all those mean-muggin tomboys mangin around out there

^^^ That would probably scare her even more. Tried jiggling her food bowl and the laser pointer (both ALWAYS work)

^^ I know, I know. What are the rules on kitty abortions? I'm gonna assume she's pregnant.

^ I hope so...I'm more attached to this cat than I like to admit.

if you take a cat to get her fixed they can abort the kittens. they usually charge extra for it. check out http://www.snap-nc.org/

wouldn't it be safer, easier, and cheaper to wait until she gives birth and dispose of the kittens at that time?

not sure about safer, but i don't think there's any more danger involved in a spay with abortion and just a regular spay. it's easier for the vet i guess, but not really any different for the pet owner (probably actually easier for the pet owner to abort them). yes, it would be cheaper (at least with SNAP-NC, idk if other vets charge more or not).

I have always maintained that the difference between abortion and infanticide was one largely based on aesthetics.

Easier on the pet owner (not everyone can deal with kittens), cheaper in the long run for everyone, and keeps from flooding the pet population. Obviously if he found his cat, took her in to be spayed, and she was already pregnant, it's not like they're fully grown kittens in there. Could save the lives of already living cats and kittens.

There could also be psychological/biological implications with letting the cat give birth, then taking its kittens away. It’s probably still lactate etc.

right, because there's no complications involved in ripping out a cat's uterus

Toilets aren't really made for flushing kittens.

Not to mention, birthing kitties tends to make a mess.

Depends on how much the plumber and the charges for flushing kittens cost.
Also depends on how expensive the sheets or clothes are that the cat gives birth on.

Might be cheaper to just shell out <100 bucks to spay the cat.

Check the hiding places in the house, she might of been preggers already and she found a place to have the kittens. You would not see her for a couple days.

Has she always been an indoor cat? If so, check under/around anything near your place that she could have hidden under. Our cat jumped out our second story window a few weeks back. We searched for HOURS for him, and were just about to give up. He had gotten so scared he crawled into a hole in the brick directly under where he jumped. All you could see was the VERY tip of his tail.

How far are you away from Cary (I live off of laura duncan)? I saw a random cat wandering around my yard that looks like Kahlua today when I was visiting home.

I'm on the Cary side of Raleigh, not too far at all but I doubt she'd have gone that far

hell she could be hiding in my crawlspace, like Gzusfrk suggested, but I didn't see her

thanks for keeping an eye open and all the well wishes folks
