Has anyone taken classes in the 6:00-8:45PM and 6:00-10:00PM slots? I'm taking a film course and a screenwriting course that respectively have these times, and I want to know how other people felt about either the long-ass class or it being later in the day.

Took a ton of them in grad school. For the later classes, it's ok.... you get like a 10 or 15 minute break in the end.

BUT, since it's once a week, there's a lot of information to cover. Having said that, missing even 1 class kind of blows.

Good in the fall when its getting darker and colder as the semester goes on. Sucks in the spring when its getting nicer out it feels like you're wasting a good portion of the day.

these classes seemed like a good idea until about 5:45...if you have friends in the class, they are somewhat bearable

if you're taking intro to film with tom wallis (i think that's his name) then you'll have half class and half movie each week. and that actually works nicely to balance out the night, however it means you are definitely there all night and don't get out early. not to mention he's an awesome guy and not at all boring.

i'm in a "normal" class this semester that is scheduled 6 to 9 and we almost never stay the entire time. we're typically out between 8 and 830.

i think later classes are great if you are a night person. however, if you have several classes early in the day, then just one late class, you might be more likely to skip it cuz you didn't feel like going back to campus.

personally, my night class sucks cuz i work 8 to 5 Mon-Fri, so my class nights reaaaaaly suck.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic. I'm in for a treat with which of them, or do you mean both?

I'm actually really looking forward to the screenwriting class, and the professor is supposed to be pretty good in the subject. The class was on whitelist and you had to email her with your requirements--so I feel like it'll probably be challenging in a good way.

I took a 6-9 math class. I preferred its being later in the evening, but would've much preferred 2hrs x 3days instead.

^^ No sarcasm. Wallis is fun and Pramaggiore is very knowledgeable and thorough. If things haven't change too much, they both authored the textbook for the intro class.

i took a film class during that time, and it kinda sucked, but we got to watch movies, so it wasn't too bad (it was 2 times a week too)

Tom Wallis is great, the movies you watch in class (for the most part) are good, the discussions he leads are very interesting. To this day I can't watch Pan's Labyrinth without overanalyzing everything, and it's all because of the discussion we had about that movie in class.

Seriously, A++ would take the class again if I wasn't graduating

I fucking hate late night classes...

It's like having a night job, your day is over, and your friends are going out to dinner or for drinks and you have class.
