i did get nauseated once because i was numb like from he breast bone down, but they were pulling and tugging and i got kinda motion sick.

they put alcohol under my nose and the urge to vomit went away. which i think is crazy and really interesting. i would have never thought that the smell of alcohol could do that.

babies that pass through the vajayjay have higher levels of friendly bacteria in their digestive tracts, specifically bifodobacterium infantis. this results in naturally born children having better immune systems than c-sectioned children.

scientists aren't sure about the exact mechanism, but they theorize that as the baby passes through the vajayjaynal canal, it picks up bacteria from it.

if i remember correctly, there are other benefits as well, but can't recall right now.

yeah breast food for the first couple of days (thick yellowish liquid called colostrum) is very essential for babies. it has high levels of antibodies and other awesome stuff. and breast milk is also a live food and makes babies smarter and have better immunity.

C-sections are also related to breathing and nursing problems in infants. With a C-section, most babies cannot immediately be put to breast and pain can interfere with milk production. I'm sure that a vaginal delivery also helps clear airways of amniotic fluid and that doesn't occur with a c-section.

Silas had breathing problems after birth and I never could get a good milk supply going.
