Awakenings?! Are you serious?! That is NOT a feel good movie. You are all like yay new medicine....oh crap it stops working after they all become alive and happy (but only briefly).

Awakenings shows that not all doctors are just passing patients by and receiving payment like a customer. It is a very inspirational movie for anyone that has medical problems and can't find an answer. It gives people who were basically vegetables a 2nd chance at life, even if it's a limited one (like all of us)

It's one of Robin Williams and Robert De Niro best roles, they do a great job together in that movie.

And of all the stupid shit listed, you really want to nit pick that movie?

also how can you call out Awakenings but not A Beautiful Mind? A Beautiful Mind isn't a picture perfect story of inspiration in the obvious sense.

Sometimes girls need crying movies.

I would also like to add:

Shawshank Redemption
Pursuit of Happyness
The Blind Side

When I think of inspirational I picture feel good movies. The Awakenings just makes my heart hurt for people in that situation. Still enjoy the movie (and the musical score).

Grand Canyon.

i mean, i know, a lot of messed up stuff happens in the movie but at the end it gives you that "yeah, everything will be alright."
