how are you within osha regs? granted the osha excavation course i took didn't really cover holes exactly like this, but how is this not a violation?

They checked for hazardous gases, I had a harness and a small chair on a lift. The hole was cased at the top and at the bottom. It doesn't look like it though because there is a lot of old concrete on the inside walls of the casing. Even if it wasn't, the soil type here meets OSHA reference for not having to be cased.

i worked for a drilled shaft contractor two summers ago and they'd always be like "if you're not careful we'll make you go down a hole" and i'd be like "fucking a man i WANT to go down a hole". they never actually let me though
