For a man that shouldn't have lived to be 25 (due to TB) lived to be 75 and beat heroin; he was an amazing man and had a knack for writing how real people talked.

it is sad so little people in the US know about Cubby, he is way more popular over seas.

I couldn't imagine reading his works when they were written, it must have blown their minds in the 50-60's.
