British knife forums are pathetic. Someone will talk about getting arrested for carrying a Leatherman Wave multi-tool and a bunch of people will jump down their throat saying they deserved it and all this shit. I saw some owner of a restaurant on a British knife forum yelling about how he wouldn't allow you in his restaurant with a knife of any kind because of how dangerous it is. His place is hardly safe, the criminals definitely know where to go for an easy robbery.

Hell, we're talking about a place that doesn't allow glass mugs for fear that you'll hurt someone with them. This is a place where you can't have a locking folding knife (A lock is simply a safety mechanism for the user, it doesn't make the blade cut any less) and a place where you certainly can't carry a gun. If you are caught with ANY object the police find threatening, you can be arrested. A belt can be used to strangle someone and thus, the police can actually arrest you for wearing a belt if they feel like it. The law is so loose that it gives them free reign to fuck you in the ass at any time they feel the need to do so. It's a protectionist culture gone completely out of control. I'd be embarrassed to live there and it's no wonder they trash the US constantly, they're jealous as fuck of our freedoms.

The world wants to drag us down to their level so that we are weak, they want to see us without nukes and without an armed population. I think one thing that truly scares other countries (Whether it's based in facts or perception), is the fear that every man, woman and child in the United States is heavily armed and that, should another country choose to invade us, they will face the entire population as they try to invade and not just our military. If we disarm our population and turn into the pussy state the rest of the world wants to see us be, it will make us much less frightening, which is a bad thing for us and a good thing for them. Fuck that, why would we please them at our own expense?!

^^ I'm not saying people wont invade specifically BECAUSE of that. You're inferring too much into my statement that isn't actually stated.

What I am saying is that it honestly concerns other countries that were they to perform a land invasion, they'd have a lot more to deal with than in almost any other country on earth. Not only an incredible military, but a heavily armed population. The perception of how armed we are is higher than reality, which is a good thing. My point was really that if we pussify ourselves by following in the footsteps of other shitbox nations we open the door to this kind of event more and more son.

My statement was not even close to saying "if we weren't able to own guns we'd be invaded in second". You just want to read that into it when it isn't actually there.

No, what they give a flying fuck about is seeing us disarm our population and disarm our military as much as possible. They do honestly fear the US, to claim otherwise is highly ignorant. Most of my conversations in France centered around the US, guns and our military. Again, that was my point. The action of disarming our population and weakening our military is simply an opening of the door, not a guarantee of anything bad happening. When you're the little guy on the block (ie - France), you want to see the big dude (ie - the U.S.) get crippled son. When you're the big dude (ie - the U.S.), you want to stay big. That's just how shit works son.
