I had a very infected ingrown toenail removed one time, and the local anesthetic didn't work at all.

That was the worst pain I've ever been in, much worse than breaking my ankle or tearing my ACL.

holy cow, I've had many an ingrown toenail in my time, but that 2nd post really is something

get you a tissue and a sewing needle
use the blunt end of the sewing needle to wedge some tissue up under your nail. Preferably after soaking in epsom salts for a bit. Repeat frequently.

you'll be fine in a day or two.

i think i dug out the nail yesterday. there was puss and blood.

i've got some epsom salt so i'll try that today. thanks.
