i think the panhandle/lower alabama as locals call it is somewhat more of the south but anything along the shaft of americas flacid penis state....is in the southeast of the US but is not a "southern state"

most of florida is southern

southeast florida is not southern.

Once you pass daytona and get towards palm beach county, its not southern at all.

miami west palm beach ft lauderdale and the keys.

daytona is being pretty lenient on them...

i'd say anything south of pensacola on the west coast, jacksonville on the east

I wouldn't call Tampa or Orlando southern in my admittedly limited experience. The less big-city parts of central Florida though, sure.

i'd say northern florida is somewhat "southern" but even jacksonville seems like city life after living in north carolina. but seriously go to some of those central florida small towns, it's some shit straight out of deliverance.

95% of florida is just as 'neck as the rest of the south, just cause there's a few outlying regions doesn't preempt the entire state

so yes

the northern part of the state around Tallahassee definitely has southern culture, but other than that, not so much.

The majority of UCF students I met there last year were Florida Gator fans.
