So I'm sitting in my living room with the back door open and for the last 2 hours I've been hearing helicopters circling around. I finally got curious about 30 minutes ago and walk outside to see whats going on. I see 2 news choppers(WTVD and WRAL) hovering over a spot a few blocks from my house.

Yes, I'm sure a city official called in the news, demanded they bring the helicopter, and demanded coverage of this incident. The news outlet certainly didn't hear about it through their normal channels and decide on their own that this was worth pursuing.

p.s., all kids who go to private school are rich too.

i'd expect that for any kids who wander away from school (or a playground, pool, etc), not just cary. i think it's ridiculous how the director just blew it off as if it were no big deal.

I grew up in Cary, and I know how little the Cary police have to do, and I know it's a pretty good guess that these kids are rich

it's just interesting that when I hear about something like this happening (two kids disappear from school and a big search begins immediately), it fits in perfectly with the setting

and you're right, the Town of Cary probably didn't call in the news...but the fact that the news was all over this is sort of my point

look where it's at, middle America, now it's a tragedy

but it was just an observation...I wasn't condemning anybody

I'm not sure how its a Cary thing considering they have the statewide Amber alert system. Pretty sure people get concerned when kids disappear all over. Also not sure where they must be rich falls into this. You're reading a whole lot into this.
