need to get something as a present, but abc dont got it

just googling around, it looks like you can buy booze from random stores or warehouse in california and other places.

has anyone done this before? are there any reputable sellers i should go with?

the website i found listed several states you couldnt ship to, but nc wasnt on the list


the abc store would special order, but you have to get a whole case with them.

So why not just use that site to order from? Does it look shady? Also, do you have any friends in that state? Might be worth it to just ask them to pick up a bottle and ship to you and pay them a little bit of a premium for their time.

i tried to buy some Forty Creek last year online, but they wouldn't ship it thanks to our shitty government controlled alcohol system

but i DID get it shipped up to Maryland and had my boy deliver it down here when he came on a visit.

are you sure they don't carry it by the bottle? call a few different ABC stores. I was looking for Bowmore 12 Year two years ago for a Christmas present. Mission Valley and Cameron Village didn't carry it, but the store by Cary Towne Center did have it.

yeah, abc stores don't just carry a stock inventory. they definitely differ from place to place. call around to a few. more upscale neighborhood ABCs may have it.
