^^^lol wrong thread?^^Sodas are out.Brand names are out.Restaurants are out.Snacks and candy are out.note: I am not counting booze.Booze isn't food unless added to it.It might just be possible. $0.71 * 365 = $259.15beans: $0.79/lbrice: $0.29/lbcayenne: $4.99/lb?salt: $0.49/lb?2 parts rice to 1 part beans, so:185 lbs beans = $146.15370 lbs rice = $107.301 lb cayenne = $4.991 lb salt = $0.491095 meals -- comes to approx 2.7 oz beans and 5.4 oz rice per meal.A half-pound (uncooked) of beans and rice, 3 times a day. Plus all the beer and wine you want.

salty, spicy beans and rice every day for a year?i'd probably eat my own leg after a few months
6/8/2010 6:22:05 PM
you could live off 12 whole eggs/day for a pretty long time, I'm sure in bulk they're way less than $.71/dozen...18 whole eggs/day is feasible, especially in different parts of the country, I bought eggs in Michigan last summer @ $.39/dozen via super wal-mart
6/8/2010 6:28:51 PM
but..but.. my MY MT.DEW. I NEED YOU!
6/8/2010 6:30:04 PM
well you'd die of high cholesteral with all those eggs, and you'd need some sort of fruit or you'd get scurrvy. that how you spell it? might still be doable.
6/8/2010 6:45:11 PM
6/8/2010 6:47:01 PM
oh, did i spell it wrong?
6/8/2010 6:49:06 PM
and buy 2 liter sodas..$1 or less on sale for mtn dew.
6/8/2010 6:50:01 PM
you can avoid scurvy if you eat cabbage which has vitamin C and is really cheapI say this as a fan of cabbage and former sufferer of scurvy
6/8/2010 6:55:35 PM
^^I actually didn't notice til you pointed that out. It was overshadowed by other stupidity
6/8/2010 6:56:04 PM
good call on the cabbagehow do eggs not have a high amount of cholesterol? i would think 12-18 eggs a day would not be that healthy. you could get ripped though.
6/8/2010 7:05:16 PM
Did I say they don't have a high amount of cholesterol?
6/8/2010 7:08:28 PM
6/8/2010 11:02:45 PM
are you the child I'm sponsoring in Ethiopia? If so, you better be eating the 71 cents a day I'm sending to you.
6/8/2010 11:06:34 PM
^3 just correct his mistake alreadyok, so yes, while eggs are high in cholesterol, your dietary cholesterol != serum cholesterol, your serum cholesterol levels(the cholesterol you should are worried about) are controlled via your dietary fatsmono and poly raise good cholesterolsaturated and trans raise bad cholesterola whole egg will have saturated fats, so there is a correlation between whole eggs and increasing serum cholesterol, but the dietary cholesterol of the egg is not to blame. You really would just need a replacement for some fiber and important micronutrient. Bananas are dirt cheap, high in fiber and potassium and loaded with some more micronutrients. This could be possible.

6/9/2010 7:53:46 AM
many days i eat 0cents/day worth of food
6/9/2010 7:55:25 AM
i have no doubt whatsoever that I could live off $0.71/day of food.i am thrifty as hell, i have a garden, i buy in bulk and I generally only eat 2 small meals a day (or just one moderate-sized meal)
6/9/2010 10:50:00 AM
^According to the scenario "Can you eat 71¢/day worth of food", you'd have to take note of the market price of the home-grown vegetables. You wouldn't be allowed to eat more than 71¢ worth of food in a day, regardless of whether you bought it, or say, got it at a pot-luck, with free coupons, picked it from the garden, etc.If the scenario was "Can you spend no more than 71¢/day on food", then gardening, dumpster diving, etc. would be okay. I could definitely spend no more than 71¢/day on food under those circumstances....
6/11/2010 7:49:46 AM
i can definitely eat 71¢/day, hell my lunch alone was like $10oh did you mean only?
6/11/2010 8:13:03 AM
^No, and I didn't need to say "only". If you spent $10 one day, you didn't spend 71¢, did you?(Because 10.00 isn't equal to 0.71 -- Do you see how that works?)I said, "Can you eat 71¢ [per] day worth of food."I didn't say, "Can you eat [at least] 71¢ worth of food in a day."Your interpretation is flat out wrong, and you know it. (keep trolling though -- I want this to reach page 2.)[Edited on June 11, 2010 at 9:25 AM. Reason : ]
6/11/2010 9:23:04 AM
i can eat 71 cents a day, in fact i do it by breakfastyou are wrong
6/11/2010 9:27:44 AM
so your day ends right after breakfast?[Edited on June 11, 2010 at 9:30 AM. Reason : you are wronger]
6/11/2010 9:30:04 AM
you do not need to say at leastyou do, however, need to say onlytry it this way:"Can you bench press 71 lbs?""Yes, in fact I can bench press 100lbs."[Edited on June 11, 2010 at 9:33 AM. Reason : ,]
6/11/2010 9:32:12 AM
They see me trollin'....
6/11/2010 9:36:11 AM
has this thread descended into a semantics discussionyou guys realize that "only", "at least", and "at most" readings are typically determined by context, right? clearly it's easy to eat 71c/day worth of food ... hmm... I WONDER WHAT THE OP MEANT
6/11/2010 9:36:56 AM
^Yep
6/11/2010 9:40:57 AM
So is indy hooksaw or willy nilly
6/11/2010 9:43:02 AM
"Can you move 71 lbs of apples per day?""Yes, in fact I can move 300 lbs of apples per day." per day doesn't change shit
6/11/2010 9:44:47 AM
6/11/2010 9:52:58 AM
^Meat? I don't eat much, and it's mostly organic or local. ...used to eat even less. Online shopping? Only as a last resort.Really though, it's pretty fucking stupid to think that carbon footprints aren't important considerations.(Now, I could stereotype you as the idiot meat-head frat loser you probably are, but I won't do that. Oh, wait... )^^Wrong -- and doesn't matter:
