I'm probably just going to be lazy and go to the local ramen shop, just as soon as I can find my wallet
6/13/2010 5:07:07 AM
Is it still ~800 yen for a big ass bowl of vegetable ramen?
6/13/2010 5:09:28 AM
I've never seen a vegetable ramen before, unless you're talking about the ones that come with a giant dome of scallions on top.Got me some miso ramen and gyoza, now my stomach feels like it's going to explode

When I was in okinawa, the local ramen shop had my favorite ramen, which included shredded cabbage, sliced scallions, and very thin strings of steamed carrots. It was very delish. I much prefer adding lettuce in my own Maruchan Ramen, but the cabbage wasn't bad either... I ate at a soba house when I was visiting mainland; I never did find a Ramen Shop Okinawa was also the first time I ever had Taco Rice. I've been making it for myself since (it's been what, 12 years now... damn, it's been a long time...)[Edited on June 13, 2010 at 6:28 AM. Reason : .]

mmm that sounds tasty.Weirdest ramen I ever had was in Hokkaido. It had potatoes, corn, and a blob of butter in it
6/13/2010 6:29:01 AM
hahahaha... My dad would take chicken flavored ramen and add in a slice of Kraft processed cheeze on top and let it melt. Wierdest freakin taste ever. Not bad... but it was definitely a "struggle" to eat the last couple bites... lol.Mmmmm.. CORM[Edited on June 13, 2010 at 6:30 AM. Reason : .]
